My sweet little mini book

This is a minibook I created of Jeff Lopez's beautiful pictorial of my family in Westgrove Heights, Silang Cavite. Sept 1 2007

I have been working on the layouts but I thought a mini can one day be on our mantle piece to show off these beautiful images. (when we have our own home here one day).

It has captured the love our family for each other and the last page caps it off as we leave our old home for greener pastures (OZ).... thus the photo going up the hill with our backs turned.

A simple mini with very little embellishments -- only stickers, rubons, and pattern paper.
However loaded with lotsa love and beautiful memories.
(I will cover it with transparency to protect this from dust and climate)

I didnt stress making this album infact these are pattern paper scraps from a 12x12 layout I did for Jorel (yet to be posted soon on this blog)

Title: Where there is love, there is LIFE.... Gandhi

I combined precision cuts from pattern paper with rubons -- this is pretty much the embellishments I had used for this project. I realised how pretty the pictures where -- it didnt need a very loaded page..

Materials:
Kaisercraft wood mini album
Fancy Pants about a boy pattern papers
DCWV/Bazzill pattern papers
KI Memories lace paper
Autumn leaves Rubons
Creative Imaginations Memories/Epoxy Stickers
Daisy D's stickers
EK Success craft knife, Helmar glue

Sharing more simple layouts

Title: LIFE
Journalling: Life isnt always a walk in the park but never fear, mom and dad will always be here. To guide you, to teach you and to love you -- all the days of your life... love you romee!

Materials: Scenic Route Ashville papers, AC thickers letters, Alpha metal letters, Prima Bling, MM clear creations transparency, Twill, Fiskars punchers , AC rubons, Provocraft beads, Derivan glitter, Tranparency for stain glass effect, Staz on ink.

I played around with the Ashville papers and created a stain glass effect using transparency. I cut the vines and attach the transparency at the back and overlapping with another patterned paper. I wanted a dreamy feel to this layout and the stain glass element helped do that.

Title: A Dad's Love

Journalling: You cant look thourgh this book without realizing how much I love you but dont underestimate the love that your dad also has for you! Your father has a soft place in his heart for you but he expresses his feelings differently. I use my scrapbook to tell you my thoughts. Your dad may not write in a special book but he reveals his love for you in other ways that may not always be visible. (Phrase cafe rub on)

Materials: Prima Marketing Romantico, Ki Lace Ppaer, DCWV cs, EK Success Phrase cafe/ Fancy Pants/BG rubons rubons, MM brads, Doodlebug frills, blings, Krylon Gold leafing pen, Stazon black ink, foam for 3d, craft knife.
Prima papers are just beautiful in itself and it was perfect canvas for a simple lo for my son's pics with Daddy Pat. I used a Hambly frame for more focus of Jerome and daddy PAT. The layout turned out great --- simple!

Title: BIG KID

Journalling: How hard to take photos of you -- always making faces -- pulling stunts -- typical kid . Tito Jeff managed to get great shots of you as a plane passed by -- finally we got one. I amazed my fragile infant has grown from measley 5 lbs to am active little boy -- I love you cutee boy!

Materials:
Daisy Bucket Playlist pps, DCWV cs
Creative Imaginations/Mambi/Reminisce Stickers
MM floss, Misc ric rac, ribbon, foam and zigpen

I am not an embellishing person -- such a struggle but I managed to clusster pps ribbon and buttons here.. even using it up stickers stash...

I always collage pictures and failing to hone in on a focal point so I opted to stitch and use buttons to have a focus.. hope its worked....

I have been very diligent... promise....

Even in my busy days, I am trying to create my layouts for my children... it is something I am trying to get used to considering -- there are no househelp here in OZ. So the only names my children know to call is MOM and DAD....

I have been very diligent but indeed practical in creating my pages now. And I am proud of my new pages because they are quick and simple pages. And 10x times proud of myself because I have sifted through old materials and used it.. from paper to stickers to embellies.. I came to a strong realisation that my hoarding has to stop. I feel like scrap stuff are like candy/chocolate the more I buy them -- the more I salivate to get more... its just seems to not end right ? So need to curb spending, Xmas is just around the corner...

So here are some simple pages -- cut and paste is my thing inspired by scrappers like Michelle who just scraps with no pressure.... Like the NIKE catch cry says 'JUST DO IT'..

Am not to shy to say the next pages you will see of mine are so beautiful in my eyes.. I have gone back to muti photo layouts now. I cant get used to the one photo layouts -- feeling ko sayang... (this is why I am in admiration to those who can do only one photo layouts --- and can take the white spaces because I personally cant)..

Here's the layouts to show (I have more just havent had time to take pics haaay..) of my cut and paste episodes.. do tune in I might just have enough time to take pics of my other layouts -- if the children permit me to do so...

Title: My family of boys

Materials used: Autumn Leaves pp, KI memeories lace paper, DCWV cs, Prima bling, Fiskars puncher, various rubons by Daisy d's, American Crafts, Adorn it, butterfly blings. transparency for mouting of the rubons and foam for 3d

You gotta love fiskars punchers -- I hope my rest of the stash punchers fly to Sydney soon. I use the KI Memories lace paper to create a frame on my photo here...
Mounted the rubons on transparencies for them to pop on the pages -- and added matting in orange...I was kinda' funny using the smiles rub on bec it was in purple.. but the colors tied together anyway... I dont use a lot of PRIMA bling on my pages -- but this time I couldnt stop.. but I had too or else the page will be over done already... I couldnt leave this owl alone without life so I revived him, cut him up and made him 3d -- he looks kinda cute, FAT dont you think ?
Title: You and Me

Materials: Autumn leaves pp, Ki Lace paper, DCWV cs for title, Gel a tin stamps for title Cloud 9 stickers for tittle, Staz on ink, ZIG pen , Rub on for title

This my cut and paste layout -- the paper is just beautiful so I just lifted the flowers ont he left handside of the PP. I added the Cloud 9 title, cut it up a little and added bling.. there is pretty much nothing to do on this but stick it on.. its not bad hey... I love this pic of Pat and I.

Poem reads: " And in the end, its not the years in your life that count, its the life in your years."

Here is a sneak peek of a simple mini album (Kaisercraft album using Fancy pants boy pps) I made and sharing at the KAYA PS challenge blog.. will give you a glimpse of it and post it later in full in this blog.........
(Photo credit goes to my favorite photog, Jeff Lopez -- ty big time !)

My great hubby reset my scrap nook to a scrap corner before my birthday. My father you see gave me a PC as birthday present and with my inlaws coming, my scrap stuff had to go out of the 2nd bedroom. So he rewired everything -- help me take things out and now... I have my scrap corner office..

I can finally see my over flowing stickers, chipboard and rubons!....

My friends saw this on the weekend and think my scrap corner looks like a store? Gawd! I would love a store like scrap room thats for sure --- ok ok when I win lotto ok ? Will post pics when my scrap corner office is complete -- expecting my USPS boxes this week you see.. I want it all set up for sharing with you guys....

Its another birthday for the domestic goddess!

Oooh wow -- another birthday has passed 3 children later and 7 days on call for them -- yes I am 37 and loving life.. yeah I may whinge and complain at times -- but I am RIGHT where I am.

I had a lunch party yesterday with my great friends and their respective families... and of course, the day will not be complete unless we pose for our pictures... they know I scrapbook
and they made sure we had the day covered...

I am blessed to have friends like these girls.... that despite a 10 year absence they have welcomed me back into Sydney with open arms. I am truly grateful that when I need a friend to cry on, someone to boost my confidence and when I just need someone to talk to -- I can call on them anytime. My friends are the precious gems of my life and they give me strength in coping with motherhood and life in general. I thank the LORD for them. Masarap ang mga kaibigan na nandyan para sa iyo kahit matagal na kayo di nagkakasma. And when you are together -- you just pick up where you left off. Cata, Glynda, Aileen and Gliselle --- i love you all and I love the friendship we have nurtured over the years... we will be all together in our golden girl years... thats a promise !

here are some photos of yesterdays fun day where even our kids just had a blast,
laughing, playing together (never mind the excess pounds we gained from the
main dishes and scrumptious deserts!)....

here are my pretty girlfriends, Glynda, Gliselle, ME, Ailleen and Catherine and below are Cathy's little Caitlin and Aileen's lil Raffy (my inaanak)....

Again the pretty girls with my Jacobee wanting to get into the shot !

Checkout my new hair do.. I vow to go and get my salon fix every 3 weeks -- its a promise to make to give myself some ME time.....

a few pounds & years later --- finally reunited...

It sure is fantastic to be in touch with my girlfriends again.... Cathy, Glynda and Gliselle finally met up again after 10 or so year of being complete again..... Time sure has changed all of us, a little chubbier but still all HOT mamas!

Its good to finally sit down and have a meal -- and move on to the future... and catch up with each others news.....I always told Cathy we want to be all together till we are golden girls -- comparing notes about life and defyingn the aging process hahhahahahahh!

here are beautiful snapsots of that fun evening -- it wont certainly be the last surely!
