Talk about prolific !

Talk about prolific -- I can't for the life of me do layouts in one hour ---- but things change --- hahah I have done it ! here are my new layouts !These 3 layouts has evolved using a few common things: Cherry Arte Tropics pattern paper (blue/yellow/pink/green pattern) and different borders. The theme of these layouts is JOURNEY.

1) Title: Dont forget to dream
Journey of my 3 boys: Jacob, Jerome and Jorel A layout to encourage to dream far and wide, to try to fulfill their dreams as they begin life...
Materials: Fancy Pants rubons, Cherry Arte Tropics pp, Prima frame stamps, craft knife, Staz on ink

2) Title: 7 years
Journey of my husband and I, as a married couple A layout to show what we have accomplished in our seven years of marriage: good and blissful family life, 3 wonderful boys, a nice house and great relationship with our inlaws

Materials:Cherry Arte Tropics/Urbanlily/Rouge de Garance pp, Signo white pen, craft knife,Vellum caption, American craft sticker letter, Doodle bug frills

3) Title: Sunshine Joshua
Journey of my nephew Joshua

It's a layout of Joshua at 3 when he began some tests to find out why he hasn't began speaking. After all that, we did find out he is a special child and to date we have been praying for a miracle for him to connect with all of us....

Materials: Cherry Arte Tropics/Salsa celebration pp, Scenic Route chipboard frame, Adirondack paint, Heidi swapp flowers, craft knife, Kindy glitz glitter, Signo pen, Provocraft stickers, Doodlebug frills

Here's my poor attempt at cards -- am so card challenged !

How do you know when to stop

Title: Live a good life
Materials: Crate pps, Bazzill cs, Cosmo cricket chipboard, Darice foam, Diamond glaze, Bling
I bought this pattern paper by Crate paper from Fantasia in Bella Vista about 3 weeks ago and as soon as I took it home - I mutilated it -- I was just in love with the flowers I couldnt wait to cut it up..
I even finished the layout with in the nxt day of having the floral elements ready --- but procastinated on it thinking of what else it needs.... go figure.....

Here it is -- after I agonized over it -- and even asked Candy should I put eyelets or ribbon or what -- and she said -- leave it be.... and so I did -- ty cands! You have to know really when to stop -- even though its killing you to think what it still needs -- enough is enough hhahahha!

Here is 2 pager I did in a day -- simple cut and paste thing

My simple Christening projects

How nice of Angie of Scrapscene to visit my blog and feature one project I did in a hurry - oh gosh this was quick one for my dear old sis..... Gosh I did this as a labor of love for my new niece--- I know I need practice on this part, because I know crafting can be combined with baking. I just need to try those Betty Crocker mixes and buy a Wilton decorating set(its in my wishlist already) from Joann.com and then use Big shots to do personalized toppers.. ok I have few months to figure it out --- hmmmm I hope I have time for it... its crazy enough here as it is....

I made 80 fridge magnets for my niece's souvineers, about 25 or so centerpieces (gotta love those Sizzix daisy dies using foam, w/ some yummy lollipops set in chinese takeout boxes) and the layout which willl be the title page of Jacinta's christening album.

Anyway here is the link:

Scrapbooking & Other Paper Cake Toppers
I had never thought of making a paper decoration to be used as a cake topper until I stumbled across these unique ideas. Any of these would be a fun addition to a centrepiece or real cake at a party! Take a look!

Joanne Yap has a neat idea for decorating a cake. She made a scrapbook page and put it on top of a cake as a cake topper! See photo at left from a Christening party. You can go to Joanne’s blog post here to learn more about it.

This pretty cake topper was actually used on a wedding cake! Photo at right. It was made with vintage elements by Ashley Carter of Goldbug Studios and went on Muriel’s wedding cake.

Here’s another nice wedding cake topper idea by Maminka Girl. In this case, the whole cake is out of paper. What a nice centrepiece this would make for a reception or rehearsal dinner even.

Another interesting idea is to make mini cake toppers for cupcakes like PeptoGirl shows in a tutorial here.

June Scrap with V class kit

Head on over the Scrap with V site and checkout the new class kits.

Here is my June contribution:

Title: Treasure the good times

Materials: Sandy Lion papers, Bazzill CS, Ki Memories lace papers, Finishing Touches rubons (rub on transparency), Heidi Swapp clear stamp/flowers, Staz on inks, Zig pen, brads, book plates, metal swirls, ribbons and scallop ruler for template, foam for dimension on treasure and craft knife for making it 3d.

The family photo is a repeat for this layout -- I figured I need another one for the 3 boys to have in their own albums.

I did something different to this layout.. I wonder if anyone can spot it.... I think only the photographer can tell.. but I would really be suprised if some one can guess what I did on this layout..... too bad I am not the best person to take pics of layouts...

Joining contests....

It is extremely rare for me to join contests -- very rare, I only do it when I know a layout I have done is apt for the contest specs.

I dont really announce wins because like I said, its rare I join and I really only do it for the prize (si candy kasi sinabi pa ehhhahhaha! nabisto tuloy ako hahahahh!). I guess it doenst excite me as much --unlike my recent DT application at the LSS Fantasia at Bella Vista (no word yet,... gosh suspense is killing me) which I really want to bag....

here is the layout that won a little challenge from FISKARS, Australia.

hahahah Patrick became a little excited about this and asked if this is paid and I said no... I told him it was great enough to see someone liking my layout -- my day is simply made!
There is somewhere I tried my luck in doing some work for. To date I have been narrowed down to the short list. I am sending over this layout to them. I hope they like it.
TITLE: OUR JOURNEY

Journalling: One day you boys will ask why we left PHILIPPINES to move to Sydney. Simply put my kids, its for your future. Daddy & I want to give you every opportunity possible in Australia. We want you to grow up to be good & very independent boys. Australia will surely bring out your best talents. We are certain that despite the sacrfices to start over, our bond shall strengthen our family. No obstacle too great as long as we work together and become a real team.....

Pardon the picture of this layout -- its been so cloudy and rainy here in OZ and I cant go out to take pics of this layout. Give it the justice it deserves. I am still experimenting on my Olympus and still have not had great success on it--- hit and miss i say!
