on a roll YEAH!

You can't begin to imagine my extreme happiness of just being able to create no holds barred. For everything that I have experienced for the past months(extreme domesticity) - its just a sigh of relief I am able to make the kind of layouts that I like.. To be able to scrap, to have the time to do what I love most, preserving my family's memories,.. yeah ppl may think its so motherly, its a lame hobby -- heck -- i really dont give damn -- i love this hobby and its been this way for 6 years now!

Some of my lo's are a hit and miss but some I really love - hang on ! I love them all -- old style, multi photo, 1 page lo's, color blocking, hip layots, bright or muted-- as long as there is some fine cutting I can sink my teeth into --- I am totally over the moon. Some of my friends asked what i get from fine cutting my own 3d embellishments. Well lets just say if one is addicted to coffee and it gives them a rush or a a high then -- then thats where I get my own fix. Au, my friend, once asked me do I really make gigil the paper that if I dont slice it as thin -- would i be satisfied?.. Yes and no -- some lo's dont need fine precision cutting but some just scream at me. And its the way I choose papers. Crazy but true !
Should scrapbooking never invented anything else but paper to work with -- then I can still do a page with different 3d elements on it - the magic of scissors, craft knife and craft matt. I just realised I am a paper lover, bec I cant throw anything ,I need to utilize at least 80% of a page for either one or 2 layouts -- sayang eh !
Here are more layouts to share :

Title: Best of friends
Materials: American Crafts/DCWV pps, burlap, 6 diff ribbons, Fancy pants chibpoard, DCWV frills, assorted buttons, Kaisercraft felt/bling, K & co rubons, Bazzill cs

I have been wanting to scrap this photo for the longest time. It is indeed a special photo bec it was the first TV interview by ANC. It was a highlight for the Scrappin MOMS because it was the beggining of many developments for our group. Our success to have scrapbooking more mainstream began after this interview and we have never looked back. It is a great shot of Mia, April and I. Dont we all look very pretty and very happy. Note: we felt like celebs bec like any guests, we had our own dressing room had our hair and make up done too,... A few minutes of fame,... hehheheheh

Title: My simple wishes
Materials: MME pp, DCWV cs, blings, metal flowers, k &co stickers, alpha stickers, DCWV felt letters and butterflies.

I have been going crazy over Jerome's pics -- he is such a cutey and loves to be photographed. I have collected MME and this other brand that faces me with orange texts for a while awhile now and how timely bec the colors just swak to a T!

More new layouts

Title: Meant for me
Materials used: BG pprs/ letters, MM page pebble, foam for 3d lements, ink for light distressing, MM brads
This layout is 2007 but never had a chance to post. This is Jacob at 6 months old in his first pictorial. Suc a cutie hey!

Title: Make Memories
Materials used: Scenic route PPS, brads, Urban Lily rubons and stickers made as 3d elements, chipboard from boys toys. DCWV cardstock for base
this layout was a breeze and it kept building and building until filled it up -- I followed my sketch and this is what I came up with. Taken Jan 1, 2007 -- the mamarazzi in me wanted good shots of the boys but they are boys,... The wind blew hard, very muggy that day too --the yayas tried hard to get the kids to do well but failed. In the end, I was still happy with the photos because my kid were in the natural element -- different shots and poses,... still a very happy group we are!

Title: Santa meeting
Materials used: BG pps, metail letters, Bazzill brads, MM metal corners, Maya road chipboard, brilliance ink, Copper ink and blings

This was the first time the kid posed with Santa. I was a little ticked that his sled couldnt be seen here hhahahahah and the colors were just not so Xmasy,... THe kids werent such in the mood because we waited in queue for our turn -- never mind. I know what to do nxt time. This is what I wanted to as a new tradition in our family --- to get our family pics with Santa every Dec. This marked our first Xmas in OZ.

Title: Enjoy the process

Materials: BG scraps and BG background ppr, Scenic Route chipboard, American Craft/Provorcraft letters, Cosmo Cricket chipboard, Dimaond glaze, Heidi Swapp flowers.

This is 2007 layout never been posted in my blog. THis is Jacob in his serious mood at home.

Title: I love toy trains

Materials: BG Baby Boy pps, MM brads, bling, American Craft letters. The train strips where cut by craft knife, Train brads (uknown).

I have been wanting to do this layout for Jerome for the longest time. He loves trains and sings the I Love toy trains jingle or the Thomas train song each time.

I have more layouts to post but willl do that very soon after my Scrap with V Design group has posted our class kits in the site.

I passed my driving test

finally, after all the anxiety in preparing for the exam, am officially a driver,...

I realised that I failed after stuffing up my reverse park, I even missed one instruction because I felt like I was dazed by my own error,...

then when i had waited near the driving test window after the drive out,.. she asked me about my maiden name in my license and then she said under her breath 'oh you passed by the way',... silly me said "are you sure?".. but i did,.. startin tomm I drive the yap boys to school.

thank goodness...

My favorite layout

I love this photo of Jorel taken by Jeff Lopez. He has an amazing talent to bring out the best in my boys (and some of you know how hard it is to get decent shots of my hyper boys).. I have done a layout using this photo but I had to do a solo one for Jorel,.... just the cutest, I couldnt resist! This was a super simple one, fast and easy but was so much fun to do. I like lo's like this, very neat, dont you think ?

Title: Enjoy life
Materials used: Imagination project pps, DCWV cs, clear/colored buttons, K& co caption (hidden journalling), Scenic route background ppr, American craft foam and vinyl letters, Doodle bug small buttons/trims (my new fave for quick frames on pics!), craft knife for making those cute little pin wheel (had a crack at cutting them so tight it looked like thread, the best !)

So ppl on our next pictorial/party book Jeff Lopez, you wont be sorry! I wish I can fly him to Sydney for my sis baptism -- lotto where art thou lotto!

its about time

Its about frigging time I break out from my yonks ago hiatus,... been creating and enjoying making layouts with no stress, no need to use new stuff and appreciative of rediscovering older stash than can still be today's look.

I even unearthed some of my so called 'old school scrapbooking' of cutting and piecing things together,.. loving foam too i tell you so American Crafts -- am giving you run for your money.

I really had so many revelations doing layouts the past month. I am happy where my creativity has taken me. And as for stamping, am a newbie surely and my stamps are so virgin its not funny! However, I learned to bring back the innovation back into scrapbooking, using whatever skills I have and not think of what I left in Manila. I should really make use of whats here, give it todays twist and who knows it might just be my best scrap pages yet. Anyway, best or not, my family truly loves what I do and they are my biggest supporters. And the nice comments they give me the best highs I tell you!

And yeah the backward mamarazi that I am finally getting a new camera courtesy of my generous bunso brother, Josef (who recently had a new baby with his wife, Sarah, they named her Miya Jaye). My Olympus will be parking with they YAPS by April....

So without further adieu, feast your eyes in my cutting masterpieces. (note I recently fell in love with FOAM, whether for accenting or even for captions and titles. I hope you like them)..

Title: Domestic Goddess

Materials used: BG pp & cs (Stella Ruby), Provocraft stickers, BLings, stickles, Cosmo Cricket Chipboard, Metal bookplate, Craft foam, Sizzix dies (Round a bout), Fiskars border punch, MMpaints,Diamond glaze, Fancy PantsRubons, DCWVbutterfly felt stickers

This photo was takent by Jeff Lopez and my background was a door in hall. Pity it wasnt edited by the expert himself -- i tried at making it B/w and it turned out so washed out. I thought why not do my own tweaking with it and create my own background, I cut to kingdom come from BG papers and added Fancy pants rubons and played with using Kindy glitz. Title: Boy oh Boy

Materials: Cherry Arte/ Ki Memories pps, Scenic Route Background apper, Doodlebug rubons, Artistic Expressions Tranparency tags, Assorted buttons. Foam used to lift stars and mount the 'look at me transparency.

Jerome my boy just loves to take challenges, never afraid to try anything -- built tough!

Title: Celebrating Life with you (a Christmas day photo with my hubby Patrick)

Materials use: Junkitz salsa celebrations papers, Deja Views Orange, green and light red pps, bubble wrap (stamped w/ MM paint) tag for title YOU, blings, foam for title (coated with diamond glaze), Tech. tuesday corner stamp, Kindy glitz.

I paper rolled the pink and green papers to disguise bad background and just loved the results (one of the Scrappin Moms share this technique with us). A hidden tag to reveal journalling and flower highlighted with MM page pebbles (remember those?). I kinda went crazy with this paper, such color and happiness it evoked. With our photo being landscape, I cut our photo to elevate us a little and put foam at the back, to make us look a little 3d and not disapper in the page. Patrick loved this layout (so thats a great big pat in the back hahahhhahah!). The circle patterns were cut and I just pieced them together to frame the photo.

Title: Say Cheese

Materials: Scenic Route Samplers/pp, Bazzil Cs, American Craft sticker letters, caption Stickers, Kindy glitz, craft foam, Craft express gel stickers, Titles are Cuttlebug font mounted w/ pp and painted with diamond glaze.

I enjoyed being able to create my very own 3d diecuts and give it an embossed look using Diamond glaze. I love these photos of Jerome because the captions I have placed here is what he says each time we take photos. He loves being photographed!
Title:Lil' Princess

Materials used: Provocraft pps, craft foam for title and crown, K & co caption rubons, Kindly glitz

I enjoyed making this layout for sis Jovy, hubby John and their daughter Joanna. The crown was pattern from a chipboard but I sculpted and bling'd it myself coated with diamond glaze.

Title: 10 reasons why you love me

Materials used: BG Scraps and left overs, DIVI ribbons, American craft rubonsr/letters, 7 gypsies top ten lists, bling, DCWC stickers, bling, letter stickers.

THis was taken by Jeff Lopez, and like it was after my son's party, were tired and still we posed for our shots. Pat was suprisingly into it - even posing like silly!

I am sleepy will post more tommorow and the next few days,... been a busy little bee.

DT work next, more fun fun fun and no creative block no more, mojo's back and creating just the way I like it !

My first sketch

You can tweak the simple sketch to your liking.
You can also turn the sketch around. You can add matting, torn edges on the tic toe square.. options are simply endless.
As edges are bare, you can place borders- sew on it, cut it, punch it.
The divisions on the tic tac toe shape can be replaced by ribbon.
All squares don’t need to be pictures – it can be also be embellishments . The no. of pictures is not at all limted. As long as there are pictures!
The circle on bottom left corner can be embellished with flowers, diecut or chipboard w/ caption around circle . These are just mere suggestions, of course.

The inspiration came from reading about using negatives of chipboard. The tic toe square shape came from my kids puzzle pieces. I kept the chipboard excess and WALLA! fantastic!

I will upload my sample very soon...
My challenge is for you to give it a go.

In recent dev'ts this weekend, I wanted to channel the 'negative vibes' and turn it to something good and positive. It is my special way to show ppl that PINOYs are a generous group.
